That’s right Pack Animals, the Extra Mile Bags just arrived in our new warehouse this week! Pack Animal, in partnership with our sister company, Tobacco Motorwear Co., has upgraded to a larger space - we're working on a show room too. Huge news, considering we were operating out of our living room two years ago! We had all extra hands on deck for Extra Mile shipping - our founders, project manager, customer service manager, and social media!

As you might know, Pack Animal is very small, local business (we're neighbors if ya happen to live in SoCal!). As we grow our product line, we have created new American jobs in design, marketing, and logistics. We cut no corners and remain committed to making the best bags available, sourced from the best craftspeople, and we stand behind all our products.

The Big Stuff!

As shipping approaches, we want to make sure you’re all happy with the delivery addresses you gave us! If you have moved - finally embraced van life, or joined the circus (kidding, maybe) - it is crucial that you log into your backerkit account and update your address.

If nothing has changed since the kickstarter - you’re good to go, we already have your information. We will be closing and locking in all backerkit information this Friday (Jan. 15th) night at 10pm PST. Any pressing questions? Please contact us!

We expect to ship around Jan 20th!

Your Extra Mile Bags are en route to us, and as soon as we receive them, they’ll be headed to your front door. We’re right on schedule - and in Kickstarter Days (similar to dog years) a 3 month turn around isn’t half bad!! That said, we have really appreciated your patience and enthusiasm on this journey with us. From the bottom of our duffle bags, thank you.

What Else is New: The Adventure Jacket!

 We mentioned last time that we launched Pack Animal's first ever Adventure Jacket. This heavy duty, 16oz waxed canvas field jacket has been one of our most popular pieces yet. And we still have a few left (hyperlink) - and if you’re between sizes, be sure to size up! 

We’re nw adding a FREE bar of our favorite OtterWax to each package - so you can further weatherproof your jacket. Checkout this DIY Canvas Waxing Tutorial we put together over at the warehouse. It’ll come in clutch for adding another protective layer to your Adventure Jacket - or any other outdoor gear you might have.

Extra Mile Update | New Jacket!

Hey there Pack Animals!

Our team is working hard on getting these bags finished ASAP and ready to ship to you! Though there have been a few delays, we are very pleased with how these are progressing!

We expect to ship around the Jan 20th! 

I can't say enough how grateful we are for all of you for helping us get these very special bags into existence. It is because of you and our rad partners that we are able to do what we love to do... create heritage quality bags that are useful, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. 

Extra Mile Video Challenge Winner

A few of you really went the Extra Mile for us and participated in our Extra Mile Challenge, producing an original video to test and showcase these rad new bags! The winner of the Extra Mile Challenge was Evan Pollock and his PNW-based team over at Pollock Pictures. Checkout their stunning entry! 

What Else is New!

We are excited to announce the launch of Pack Animal's first ever Adventure Jacket. This heavy duty piece is unlined and constructed of 16oz waxed canvas and features 6 external and 4 internal pockets!

The Adventure Jacket is our take on the vintage harsh weather 'field jackets’ of the early 1900s - making these jackets both a stylish classic, and amazingly functional. Even better, we're launching it with a Holiday Discount at 25% off!

Surveys

Thank you to all of you who filled out the survey and gave us your Extra Mile Bag color preferences. There are a few people who we still need information from but most of you were on top of that and we thank you for that. It looks like these bags will be ready to ship in January. We are excited for you to hold them in your hands and to get outside and use them for what they are intended for... a life of adventure! We wanted to take a moment to thank you for backing this exciting project - and update you on what comes next. We are so proud of the attention to craft, culture, and sense of adventure we’re cultivating here at Pack Animal and we couldn’t do it without you! We’ve been hard at work perfecting these packs for quite some time and we can’t wait to get them to you. 

Backer Surveys

Check your inboxes (and spam folders) for an email from our Backerkit account! 

We will begin sending out the survey today so that you can select your preferred colorway (Forest Green, Blackout Black, Desert Brown, or Camo) for your Extra Mile Bag or Combo set, and get your best shipping address. All surveys should be received by tomorrow morning. We are making good headway, please get your surveys in as soon as possible!

Shipping

We still expect to ship your Extra Mile Bags around the New Year. If anything changes we'll let you know.

WE DID IT!

I wanted to thank you for helping us crush our goal. The Extra Mile Bags are going to be awesome and we know you will like them. We could not have done this without you, so seriously…a huge thank you for all of your support. 

Pack Animal raised $98,363 from 363 backers. That is absolutely amazing.

 What Now?

1. Collect Backer Surveys. We need to know what color bags you want and where to send them. We will be sending out surveys soon (probably late next week) from backerkit.com… please fill out your survey as soon as possible after you get it so we don't delay production and can deliver your bags as soon as possible.

You can still add another bag to your order, or tell your friends to get in on the Kickstarter price, just go to packanimal.co.

2. New Products! We will also be launching 3 new products on Backerkit, available to kickstarter backers before anyone else and at an early Black Friday price.

3. Complete Production. We have already started purchasing some materials and making preparations for production. The production and delivery process is anticipated to take about 2 months, give or take a couple weeks. 

4. Send you your bags. We hope to start sending bags out in late December or early January delivery at this point. Make sure the address you have connected to your Kickstarter account is correct. If it has changed please let us know.
